The Monkey Killer Records Third Birthday Sampler was compiled in conjunction with each band to help celebrate the third birthday of Monkey Killer Records. There was an actual celebration at Benuu in Dunedin, New Zealand, that featured Kilmog, Conray, Idiot Prayer and Mountaineater performing, as well as a screening of Operation Rolling Thunder's Off the Cuff Session.

Radio New Zealand turned up to document the event, and interview the contributors. The programme they created can be streamed here:
